Pyramidal

As with most varieties, you'll see this called by a variety of names. They include: Fastigiata, Pyramidalis and Columnaris.

The Pyramidal is a tall, dense, columnar plant which grows to 25' high, 5' wide. It can be kept lower by pruning and is often found pruned in interesting shapes. It is a good plant for tall (6 ft. or more) hedges and screens, especially in cold regions and damp soils. Set 3-4 feet apart for a neat, low-maintenance screen.
