Pests and diseases
Arborvitae are usually free of pests and diseases. Leaf miners can attack and turn a branch rusty brown. Bagworm and spider mites can also affect arborvitae.
Deer like arborvitae if there isn't something even tastier… like roses, tomato plants or blueberries… in your garden.
They can get a blue-gray mold on the foliage if leaves are moist and the plants are crowded too close together for good air circulation. The condition is cured by giving the plants some space. |
